Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): The 35th Dimapur Auxiliary Foundation Day was observed on November 6.
Rev Dr N Paphino, President, Dimapur Auxiliary graced the occasion as speaker. He stressed that people have to build their lives on the Word of God, which is the solid rock.
The staff of BSI Dimapur Auxiliary offered thanksgiving prayers to God, pioneers, former staff, Auxiliary Committee members, Sub-Committee members, branches, individual believers and Churches for their sacrificial services in spreading the Word of God to the churches and to unreached groups of people.
In a press release, Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary BSI Dimapur said that on June 14, 1979 under the leadership of late Longri Ao, the then General Secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council, a letter was written to the General Secretary of the Bible Society of India (BSI), Bangalore requesting for separate Auxiliary at Dimapur. Subsequently, the Dimapur Auxiliary was officially inaugurated on November 6, 1985 at Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur.
The BSI Dimapur Auxiliary serves the Churches in Arunachal Pradesh, Karbi Anglong District of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland. There are 111 tribes under Dimapur Auxiliary. It is non-denominational and non-profitable society with the main objective to provide God’s Word to all people at affordable price, it added.
