The BSNL Cell One subscribers of Tuensang are still being neglected by the concerned Department. The main problem facing the general public is the unavailability of Network after 10 PM till 5 AM in the morning.
Another interesting thing is that people from other District of Nagaland can contact a Mobile user of Tuensang directly without using STD facility, but the people of Tuensang cannot contact a Mobile user in the same place through their Land Line.
Some months back one could make calls to Cell One through Land Line easily but now phone calls to Mobile through Land Line is not possible.
If one has to make a call to mobile he/she has to run to PCO, as it is possible only after adding zero (0) to the mobile Number i.e through STD dial-up. The reason will be best known by the two J.T.O’s of Tuensang.
Again even the name TUENSANG that is displayed on the Mobile screen is wrong. It is displayed as TUENGSANG in place of TUENSANG. It is also learned from the public that many Land Lines are not working, they are either Death? Or out of order. Even after several complain to the Telephone Office the publics are ignored of their rights.
It is also learned that the JTO’s both for Land Line and Cell One hardly stays in Tuensang. According to a person who does not want to disclose his name said, “the JTO’s are posted here only in name, they hardly come to Tuensang, this is my 7th visit to the Office within two weeks in search of JTO but it seems today also its not my day”.
After hearing several grievances from the General Public regarding the Telephone Department I tried to Contact the JTO of Tuensang but they were found to be OUT OF STATION as usual.
