Cabinet decides 3-installment payment for contractors

DIMAPUR, NOV 29 (MExN): The DAN Cabinet has decided to pay the dues of the Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) after proper cross checking of records of the DLVC in three installments. The first installment will be paid before Christmas, 2006, informed V. Sakhrie, Commissioner & Secretary DIPR in a press communiqué. The DAN Cabinet, which met in the Secretariat under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister today among other things, also decided to pay the outstanding VRS and other dues to some employees of the Nagaland Distilleries Limited and Nagaland Sugar Mills Company, as recommended by the Committee constituted by the Government.

Further, after careful consideration of the representation submitted by the NBCC, the Cabinet decided to phase out the existing six bonded warehouses to the minimum. While appreciating that summary termination of all the six ware houses, as demanded by the NBCC, is not possible under law, it was decided to renew the licenses of only one or two warehouses when they expire.
