Dimapur, July 22 (MExN): The Concerned AYUSH Doctors of Nagaland (CADN) has expressed support to the statement issued by the Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) that recruitment of Gazetted Class-1 Officer is not under the purview of the Health and Family Welfare Department.
A press release from the CADN also said that the recently created 21 AYUSH posts must be recruited through NPSC. It meanwhile thanked the NVCO for pointing out the “unfair distribution of marks for the said post recruitment which gives no chance for the qualified junior doctors.”
It also questioned the Health Department under what rule did the department relax the age to 45 years; in what manner the department is going to hold the exam for the above said post; and why the temporary appointment as advertised on July 16 was changed to engagement on July 17.
“The present mark distribution is directly affecting the junior doctors and favouring the senior doctors as 90 marks out of 100 marks has been distributed in terms of university marks, experience marks and higher degree marks,” the CADN said. It added that university and experience marks alone carry 80 marks while only 10 marks were given for the viva.
“We would like to point out that this exam will not fulfill the manpower requirement for COVID-19 as the same NHM doctors who are already working for COVID-19 will get the post and also as Mission Director has earlier stated in the previous press release that in order for increment of salary of the NHM Doctors no new recruitment will be done under NHM after the NHM Doctors get recruited into the state service,” the CADN said.
It appealed that the exam not be conducted unless it is through the NPSC.
