Phek, April 1 (MExN): Commemorating the 75th anniversary celebration of India independence New India @75, a campaign on three themes namely HIV, TB and Blood donation was carried out by Phek District Level Committee in different schools and colleges in three phase wise manner.

The campaign concluded with the third phase online competition felicitation programme held at DC conference Hall on March 1. 

Addressing the students, Phek DC and Chairman, District Level Committee of New India @75 Razouvolie Dozo encouraged the students to take responsibility through the campaign by living a safe and responsible person in the society and creating awareness to the general population in order to contain the HIV and TB epidemics. He urged the students to donate blood to the needy in times of need and save someone’s lives. The DC apprised the principals and teachers to collaborate with the implementing department in order to keep updating with such knowledge to the students from time to time.

Kuduvo Kezo, DPO DAPCU, Phek in his closing remark on behalf of NSACS and DAPCU expressed gratitude to the DC and the District Level Committee members for rendering their constant support and guidance throughout the campaign and thus successfully completed the campaign andonline competition activities in the district. 

The DPO said the campaign has cover five colleges and seven schools in the district and out of which 2464 students participated in the awareness programme and 123 participated in the online competition activities.
