Peren, July 23 (MExN): The Can Youth organised adolescent summer retreat under the theme ‘Unleash Your Potential’ for MERAKI Adolescent Girls Club at Mhainamtsi village, Jalukie under Peren district. The programme commenced with an invocation by Gaimunrei Gonmei, Pastor, Rongmei Baptist Church, Mhainamtsi, Jalukie. Ithika Katty, Youth Facilitator, Can Youth, delivered welcome address.
Nuyi Nyekha, Senior Project manager, Can Youth, gave the exhortation of the event. Stating that adolescents are the hope for the present and the future, she hoped that through the summer retreat, the members of the club would self-discover, positive growth, empower themselves and build a network of young leadership and friendship. She encouraged adolescents to unleash their potential, set personal goals and apply them in their daily lives, achieve great things, overcome challenges and to make a difference in the world.
Gaimunrei Gonmai, Pastor, Mhainamtsi Baptist Church, Jalukie, declared the retreat. Various activities and competitions were carried out and followed by prize distribution. Tsuvimong T Tikhir, Youth Facilitator, Can Youth, delivered the vote of thanks. Rosyle concluded the event with the benediction.
