Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): Helping Hand for Empowerment, Livelihood and Progress (HELP) an organisation founded by a group of Dimasa youth conducted a career counselling programme for HSLC and HSSLC students of Dimasa community on April 7 at Bamunpukhuri village, Dimapur.
A press release stated here that the resource people were Purnima Hojai, Nibash Jigdung and Dr. Ayangti Longkumer, and it was chaired by Lenin Girisa. This event primarily focused on career opportunities, which academic stream would be compatible with the career they would like to pursue, about the blooming job avenues and the lucrative prospects of various emerging careers.
Additionally, the role of the students in shaping their own lives and careers and the role of the parents in directing their children to attain a whole round development were also discussed. There was an interactive session where the parents and students raised their concerns stressing on various points which the resource people made. At the end, the vote of thanks was delivered by Ghanashyam Jigdong.
