Catholic youths visit St. Xavier Minor Seminary

Peren, April 9 (MExN): Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) led by its Director Rev. Fr. G Lawrence Khing, along with Jesus Youth (JY) visited St. Xavier Minor Seminary at Jalukie on April 7.  

During the visit, NCYM and JY team had interaction with the seminarians, who belonged to different Parishes of the Diocese of Kohima.  

Holy Eucharist was celebrated where Rev. Fr. Lawrence Khing, Director NCYM was the main celebrant along with Rev. Fr. Victor, Secretary to Bishop of Kohima Diocese and Rev.Fr. John Lichoi, Dean of Studies. Judith Vingurie Solo, Joint Secretary NCYM also shared with the seminarians while Augustine spoke on behalf of Jesus Youth.  

The visiting team thanked Rev. Fr. O. C. Abraham, Rector of the Seminary, Rev. Fr. John Lichoi, Dean of Studies and Bro. John for carrying out the task of forming the seminarians. The team visited St. Xavier College and interacted with Rev.Dr.Fr. Francis Yimso, Principal. The team also visited the Holistic Centre where Rev.Dr. Fr. Godfrey Vilasal, Director explained the necessity use of herbal plants and medicines.  

St. Xavier Minor Seminary is a place where young boys from different Parishes of Kohima Diocese are trained and moulded to become Priest. Presently there are 29 boys from different Parishes all over Nagaland.
