Pfutsero, February 2 (MExN): The Chakhesang Catholic Association (CCA) held its biennial conference at Holy Family Church, Pfutsero on February 1, under the theme “Fight the Good Fight of Faith.” Delegates from five parishes in Phek district attended the event, which aimed to strengthen faith and foster unity within the community.
The conference commenced with a prayer led by Rev. Fr. Cyprian Lobo S.J., Ecclesiastical Assistant to the CCA. In his welcome address, CCA President Nuvesayi Edward Hoshi greeted the delegates and set the tone for the day’s deliberations.
In the first session, Rev. Fr. Vemedo Joseph Kezo, Parish Priest of Mary Help of Christian Cathedral, Kohima, served as the resource person. He reaffirmed the Catholic belief in transubstantiation in the Eucharist and stressed the importance of receiving Holy Communion with reverence. On the Sacrament of Reconciliation, he encouraged the faithful to seek God’s mercy through confession and to embrace repentance and spiritual renewal.

Khrotso John Koza, Executive Engineer, Water Resource Department, Rekha Rose Dukru, Social Worker and Entrepreneur, and Rev. Fr.
