Phek, September 12 (MExN): With regard to the murder case of Swuduve Nakro, a taxi driver, Centre Chakhesang Public Organization (CCPO) has made certain demands to the authority(s) concerned.
The first in the list was to deliver fast track justice without delay. A press release from Niehusa Cukhami, president and Nuvecho, vice president of CCPO further demanded that the judiciary and prosecution should not grant bail at any cost to the three accused. “If bail is granted to them, CCPO shall not be responsible for any law and order problem occurred thereafter,” it asserted.
While appreciating the authority concerned for processing the matter for granting ex-gratia to the wife and children of late Swuduve Nakro, CCPO also called upon the Government of Nagaland to consider it on humanitarian ground and do the needful at the earliest.
The CCPO further hailed the police for their prompt action leading to the arrest of the accused and recovery of the vehicle. The organisation urged the police to build up a very strong case so that the judiciary deliver justice and give befitting punishment to the accused.
Meanwhile, CCPO reminded its members to have confidence on the efficiency of the police and continue to restrain from creating any situation which will hamper the process of effective and timely justice.
