1st Etssisao Memorial Volleyball Tournament held
Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The 1st Etssisao Memorial Volleyball Tournament was held from December 21-23 at Okotso village, Wokha district under the theme "Sports for the Gospel Mission."
Late Etssisao was the first convert in Okotso village and as the first Lotha pastor, the first Lotha Baptist Church in Wokha District was also established in the village in1904, a press note informed.
The tournament was sponsored by Rev. Moses Murry and family along with hosting of the Christmas celebration of Baptist Church and Assembly of God Church, Okotso village, it added.
During the celebration various competitions such as Christmas carol, Christmas skit, Bible recitation, Gospel choreography and musical chair for women were performed. Besides the competitions, various fellowships such as children fellowship, youth fellowship, senior citizen fellowship and pastors fellowship were also organized.
Rocky Hill colony emerged as the champion of the tournament while Lanlongo colony was the runners-up. Eight colonies participated in the tournament.
It was further informed that the tournament will continue as an annual event of Okotso village and for the range in the future.
The organizing family also expressed gratitude to all the pastoral team, deacons, deaconesses, youth and children of Okotso village for their prayer and physical support rendered to them during the Christmas celebration and made it a grand success.
