CFD holds 1st Ecumenical Women Prayer Meet

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) organized the first ‘Ecumenical Women Prayer Meet’ on November 19 at Bethesda, Dimapur. It was participated by inter denominational women leaders and members from various churches.


Chairperson, Nukshila Aying Duolo, president of CFD Women Committee while welcoming the gathering said it was a historical moment for the Christians of Dimapur, Nagaland. She thanked Reverend Moses Murry, Chairman CDF for tirelessly working in making the dream turn into a reality. 


Caroline Leisan led the gathering in prayer. Rev Murry his introductory address encouraged all to bring positive impact on people’s life to transform the society.


“Women are capable and you have proved today,” said Rev Murry who installed the leaders and prayed for all the newly inducted leaders of the women committee.


Rev Dr CP Anto, Director of Peace Channel and General Secretary, CDF, while exhorting the gathering said that Nagaland is the Model state for inter-faith harmony in the country.


“Nagaland is the most tolerant state where people from all communities, religions and denominations live in harmony with each other, respect and accept each other,” Rev Anto said, while adding that “we should never lose hope even in the midst of trouble, temptations and tribulations.”
