Our Correspondent Kohima | March 25 The Chokri Area Sports Complex Foundation Stone was laid by Razouvolie Dozo, Project Director DRDA Phek on March 24 last at Chokriba under Phek district in commemoration of Chokri Area Public Organization Silver Jubilee Celebration in the presence of Rural Development Block officials of Kikruma and Chetheba RD Blocks, area public leaders and all the Village Council Chairman’s, VDB Secretaries and a host of public. Dozo in his speech elaborated the discussion he had with the PHED minister Chotisuh Sazo on the dreams of having a proper sport complex at Chokriba catering to the need of the public and also promote and nurture budding talents. Hence, the project is an outcome of such vision and he urged the cooperation of all the villages to make this dream a living reality. The Project Director reminded the gathering that in the absence of such facilities and amenities the villagers have to put in a lot of efforts and resources to host annual events thereby leading to huge lost of man-days. Hence if the project is executed well, not only will the young talents be nurtured but will also curtail a lot of public expenditure. Therefore, he elicited the cooperation of all the public whereby the infrastructure would match with the best in the state. Chokri Area Public Organisation placed on record its gratitude to PHED minister Chotisuh Sazo, Phek Deputy Commissioner Murohu Chotso and Project Director DRDA Phek for making this long cherished dream a reality.
