Chozuba, April 14 (MExN): Hosts Chozuba Area Sports will play against Khezha-Kuzha Tephe Sports Association in both the men's and women's football final of the 37th Phek District Sports Association meet here at Chozuba Town on April 14.
Khezha-Kuzha Tephe Sports Association beat Seceku Range Sports Association 6-0 in first semifinal match for men's football. It was the captain Rhitsho Mero who scored two goals for his team, while a goal each from Metshetsho, Azo, Johnny Ritse and an own goal from Seceku saw them ending the campaign in defeat.
Meanwhile, hosts Chozuba Area Sports Association defeated Tizu Area 3-0 in the second semifinal match. Phito Nienu, Punuru Nienu and Yhoto Lohe scored for Chozuba to make it to the finals. Yhoto Lohe, the winger for Chozuba dominated the sport's meet scoring five goals. He scored in the quarterfinal and semifinal match again to become the highest scorer of the sports meet.
Earlier, defending champion Centre Chakhesang lost against Chozuba Area by 2-1 in the quarterfinal match. Yhoto Lohe and Khruthozo scored for Chozuba and Kuduhusa Dzudo scored the lone goal for CC team.
In women's football, Khezha-Kuzha Tephe defeated Centre Chakhesang via tie breaker 2-0 after the semifinal match ended in a goalless draw. Meanwhile Chozuba Area beat Seceku Range by a solitary goal to enter the final. Up next, Khezha-Kuzha Tephe will play against Chozuba Area in the women's final match.
In men's volleyball, Chokri Area Games Sports Association beat Secuku Range Sports Association by 25-14, 19-25, 25-17 to enter the final round. While Chozuba Area Sports Association defeated Khezha-Kuzha Tephe Sports Association by 25-20, 19-25 13-25 to enter the final round.
Up next, Chokri Area will play against Khezha-Kuzha Tephe in the final match of the sports meet on Saturday.
In women's volleyball, Chokri Area defeated Phek Area by 25-21, 25-22 in the first semifinal match. While Chozuba Area will play against Tizu Area in the second semifinal match on Saturday and the winner will decide the outcome of the finalist for the volleyball final match.
In men's basketball, Chokri Area will play against Khezha-Kuzha Tephe in the final match. Chokri Area beat Tizu Area in the first semifinal match by 65-18, while Khezha-Kuzha Tephe overcame Chozuba Area by 39-35.
For women's basketball, Chokri Area will play against Chozuba Area in the final match. Chokri Area beat CAGSA by 28-7 and Chozuba Area defeated Centre Chakhesang by 8-4 points.
The sports meet will conclude on Saturday.
