Christian Writer's Workshop concludes

A week long Christian Writer's Workshop (CWW), which started on April 26 under the theme ‘Writing To Teach’, concluded today at Indian Council of Social Science Research, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.   Eleven participants from different parts of Nagaland, Meghalaya and Assam attended the workshop. The CWW organized by the New Women Ministry, Shillong, focused on how to teach through writing.  

Dr. Beulah Wood, the resource person from New Zealand enlightened and taught the participants how to write and edit through her book “Writing is an Art you can Learn.” Dr. Beulah Wood, a writer, teacher and lecturer has written over 35 books and booklet.  

Participants, especially from Nagaland, said they were extremely enriched and enhanced through the writer's workshop. “I feel empowered as a writer,” said Aolemla Pongen, a participant from Kohima. "I feel God has brought me to this place at the right time. I have learned so many new things and I have gained new perspectives," added Renthunglo Shitiri, an aspiring writer from Dimapur. Imtimatsung from Mokokchung thanked the New Women Ministry for organizing the workshop and felt honored to be a part of such a helpful workshop.  

New Women Ministry is a Discipleship Literature Mission Training based in Shillong, Meghalaya. The ministry organizes writer's workshop, prayer seminars and teachers programmes from time to time.
