Chuchuyimpang Students' Union (CKT) in a selfless mission has been working tirelessly for the past three days repairng the roads that lead to Fazl Ali College from the main village gate, which covers approximately one kilometre.
Kilangzulu, president, CKT said that the road condition has gotten from bad to worse these past few years due to poor maintenance making it uncomfortable and difficult for commuters.
He also mentioned the major contributors in the repairing works which included the Chuchuyimpang Village Council (VCM), VDB, Chuchuyimpang and Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church. Heavy machinery provided by Mongya Construction, proprietor, Sanen Sempo.
The CKT leaders informed that they will not only repair the road but will also look constructing of drainage along the road. They further informed that they will be using Bitumen emulsions to carpet the entire road.
It has to be mentioned that even though the current road falls under the village jurisdiction, it is being looked after by the PWD and was repaired by the department in 2013. The village Taxi Union has also initiated a road repairing in the past year though not very concretely.
