Chumukedima to conduct enumeration drive for ‘non-Nagas’

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): “As a measure to curb illegal activities and to identify every ‘non-Nagas’ living in Chumukedima Town” the Chumukedima Town Head GB has informed that “there will be an enumeration drive for the ‘non-Nagas’ (both Hindus and Muslims).”  

The Head GB of Chumukedima Town, Kelenguzo Kuotsu in a press release informed all ‘non-Nagas’ inhabiting in Chumukedima Town to produce identification proof such as EPIC/Ration Card/Aadhaar Card and any other supporting legal documents during the enumeration drive which will commence from October 9 to 31.    

“Any ‘non-Nagas’ (s) failing to produce their identification proof as required shall be compelled to leave Chumukedima Town and the expelled member(s) if any shall not be allowed to dwell in an around Chumukedima area,” the GB announced.  

In this regard all ward Chairman, GB, elders, youth body of all the respective wards are also intimated for active participation during the drive.  

Further, the GB warned that any ‘non-Nagas’ found indulging in any kind of anti-social activities shall be expelled from Chumukedima area without any further intimation. “This measure has been initiated to screen out foreign dust from the vicinity of Chumukedima Town and most importantly to hold up peaceful environment and tranquility in and around,” it added.  

Furthermore, Head GB Kelenguzo Kuotsu extended heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all ranks and files of police personnel of Chumukedima Town Police Station (Zone-I) for apprehending all the accused involved in the recent incident happened on September 21 within a short span of time. He also thanked all the leaders of Chumukedima Town, Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation, Chumukedima Town Students Union, Chumukedima mothers' Association, all the citizen of Chumukedima Town, Chamber of Commerce & Trade Association, Auto Union, Chumukedima Village Council, New Chumukedima Village Council for the support and tireless contribution during the said incident.  

Further, he appealed to all the citizens and various organizations to continue extending their support and co-operation in the near future too.
