DIMAPUR, JULY 28 (MExN): Central Institute of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India, Medziphema in collaboration with ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute(CCRI), Nagpur organized a three-day training programme on advances in nursery raising, method of production technology and rejuvenation of citrus at CCRI, Nagpur.
The programme was conducted from July 19 to 21 for the farmers and officials of NEH region, a release here stated. A total of 21 participants from Manipur and Nagaland attended the programme.
According to the release, Dr. A.S Rajput, Regional Director, Regional Centre for Organic Farming Nagpur who was present as Chief Guest emphasized on the importance of organic citrus cultivation for NEH region.
Dr. M.S. Ladaniya, Director, CCRI, urged the participant to transfer technology to their community which they have learned during the training programme.
The training programme covered various topics on nursery raising, plant propagation, pest and disease management, post harvest and processing of citrus besides lecture and practical demonstration on Citriculture.
