Medziphema, JULY 2 (MExN): The Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture& Farmers Welfare, Medziphema conducted online trainings through Meet App on various aspects of horticulture.
A press release from the institute informed that the training was conducted on June 12, 23 and 30, covering topics such as Mushroom Production Technology, Value Addition of flowers, Improved Production Technology of vegetables and use of ICAR-FUSICONT bio formulation for control of fungal diseases in the plants.
Dr Alka Singh, Professor & Head from the Department of Floriculture & Landscape Architecture, NAU, Gujarat, delivered a lecture along with practical demonstration on flower arrangement and its value addition.
Dr T Damodaran, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CSSRI, RRS Lucknow delivered training on bio-enhancers and bio-pesticides for organic vegetable production system in North Eastern Region. Technical staff from CIH, Marina, Senior Technical Assistant and Meribini Shittiri, Horticulture Specialist also delivered training on mushroom production and improved production technology of vegetables respectively.
Dr NK Patle, Deputy Commissioner, DAC&FW cum Director CIH, along with the invited resource persons and technical experts had interactive session with the participants after each presentation. Altogether 74 participants attended the online training session.
