DIAMPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) led by Lok Sabha MP, Neiphiu Rio today informed that the civil case filed by one L Yonglong against Neiphiu Rio before the Civil Judge (Senior Division) Mon, praying for restraining the MP and his party from using the name of the NPF, its symbol and flags has been withdrawn. A press note from the party’s press and information cell informed that the case was withdrawn on August 21. “Following the withdrawal of the case from the civil court, Mon, the counsel for the petitioner, L. Yanglong also prayed to the Hon’ble High Court and accordingly, on 22/08/2017. The petition has been dismissed on withdrawal,” the press note informed.
