Civil Rights Forum formed in Peren

Peren, September 4 (MExN): The concerned leaders and citizens of Peren today formed a voluntary Civil Rights Forum (CRF) in Peren district.

This was informed in a press release by G Gwangphun, Secretary CRF, stating the forum was formed sensing the urgency to initiate civic service to rid social evils, where the “society today is facing an overwhelming crises arising from within.”

There are challenges that must be responded, social injustices that must be remedied. The laws itself cannot make an ideal society, the release said.

Initially, the CRF was functioning as Justice Forum, Peren District formed in 2017. It was renamed as Civil Rights Forum adopted in the consultative meeting held on July 27, the release added.

Members expressed concerns on the urgent need to initiate a civil rights movement for social justice to prevail in the society as the voice of the voiceless.

The Forum thus came into being with thirty three members including six member advocates now in the move, it added.

Manifesto of CRF is being hand billed and disseminated to all CSOs in the district and state level. The forum stated that it shall work hand in hand with all civil organizations in the district and state level as supporting agent in promoting social justice and Human rights.

Meanwhile, it has “appealed to all citizens to work with the voluntary CRF towards creating an ideal society where everyone co-exist in harmony and make a progressive society together.”

Concerned citizens may avail the platform for redressing related issues/problems by contacting the CRF in the form of write-up or official meet for discussion, through an email: civilrights@gmail.com, or through the contact number: 8974381932/8837379458.
