Aolijen, February 9 (MExN): The Clark Theological College (CTC) organized professorial lecture series for the faculty members of the College in the Multi-Purpose Hall, Clark Theological College on February 8. 

Professorial lecture series provides a platform to “showcase and celebrate” the college new professors, the college stated in a press release. Each professor delivers two professorial lectures as mandatory for the promotion to the Rank of Full Professor. Professorial lecture represents a significant milestone in an academic’s career and is an opportunity for each professor to present an overview of their academic contributions so far and their future academic plans, while also introducing their work to a wider academic audience, it stated.

Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir from the department of Communication, CTC and Dr K Dhanbir Rai from the department of Religions, CTC delivered the professorial lectures. Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir is the current Principal and Rev Dr K Dhanbir Rai is the Current Dean of Post Graduate Studies in CTC. 

Dr Temjen Jamir delivered two lectures, “Dancing as Creative Communication: An Exploration of the Biblical and Theological Understanding of Dance in Christian Worship” and “Communicating Holistic Development among the People with Special Reference to North East India.” Dr Dhanbir Rai delivered on “Dancing into the Future: Striving to Establish Rai Identity through SakelaSili” and “Modern Trendsetters of Yoga in Correlation to Patanjali Yoga”. 

The final remarks, conferring of professorship and declaration to the Rank of Full Professor was pronounced by Dr Sashikaba, Professor of Religions, Eastern Theological College and Dr L Imsutoshi Jamir, Professor of Communication, CTC. 

The programme was moderated by CTC, Academic Dean, Rev Dr A Tali Ao. 

The Clark Theological College offers Diploma in Church Music Ministry, Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Theology in the branches of Christian Theology, Christian Ethics, Christian Counselling, Christian Education, Communication, Doctoral Research in the Department of Communication and from this year college is offering Master of Theology in both Old and New Testament.
