
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has notified all wards/colony chairmen and GBs in Dimapur that due to the recent detection of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) positive cases in the district, all wards and colonies will have to clear stagnant water as well as spread awareness in their respective areas. Sent through Dimapur District ADC, Sara S. Jamir, the notification stated that stagnant water poses serious health hazard by becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes which are carriers of deadly diseases like dengue, malaria and JE.
