
State Channel Partner inaugurated in Dimapur

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd., (MHRIL), India’s leading leisure and hospitality provider officially sets foot in the state when its Nagaland Channel Partner was inaugurated here today by the Advisor to the Urban Development, Government of Nagaland, SI Jamir at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur.
Started in 1996, MHRIL is part of the USD 16.9 billion multinational Mahindra Group, and offers the company’s flagship brand ‘Club Mahindra Holidays’ which allow its customer to avail ‘vacation ownership’ (VO) around 49 resorts in India and abroad. VOs properties are typically resort units, in which multiple parties hold rights to use the property.
It has a fast growing customer base of over 1.94 members and growing, informed the Channel Partner Nagaland, Tiasunep Ozukum at the event. Its office is located at Matrix Enterprise, River Belt Colony Dimapur. He further said that with Club Mahindra membership, a customer gets a guaranteed 7 days of holidays every year, for next 25 years free in all its destinations in India and abroad. It also includes two year Resorts Condominium International (RCI) membership free – an international affiliate exchange network that allows members trade their domestic holiday with foreign travel. “You can split the 7 days into 2 or even 3 holidays throughout the year,” he added. It is family friendly and we launching the channel partner to make closer relationship with the customer in the state, MHRIL Regional Manager, Eastern Region Sandeep Shukla said.
With an aggressive expanding strategy, the objective is become Top 5 VO companies of the world in terms of member base by FY 2016, he added.
Speaking about establishment of a local partner, Avik Mukherjee, the Regional Channel Sales Manager said the strategy was to take advantage of local familiarity, give transparency to its members and to better understand people psychology.
He further informed that one can choose from various plan to become a member. The membership is priced between Rs. 2.5 – 18 Lakh with nominal annual renewal fee.
Mukherjee also said that currently there are around 55 members from Nagaland.
Speaking at the occasion, the Advisor to the Urban Development, SI Jamir recalled walking on foot to Jorhat or Mariani to get even essential commodities like a common salt in his childhood.
Highlighting the change scenario today, Jamir advised the gathering to take full advantage of the opportunity provided by the company.
