CMO Wokha meets health functionaries from periphery

Wokha, July 27 (MExN): A meeting with the health functionaries from periphery of Wokha district was held on July 25 and 27 at the office chamber of Chief Medical Officer, Wokha.  

The meeting reflected on the re-strengthening of the Medical Officers, pharmacists, nurses to take up their responsibilities in catering to patients and also multi tasking different vertical activities in the health units, according to a press release from Mhonbeni Ezung, Media Officer, NHM, CMO office, Wokha.  

Dr. Robin Lotha, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) emphasized on the formation of Block Task Force Committee on Measles Rubella Campaign, which is scheduled to be launched statewide on October 3, 2018.  

He urged the Medical Officers to actively participate in the KAYAKALP activity and promote cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices in the health centres. Last year KAYAKALP awardees were also urged to submit the utilization reports with proper documentation at CMO office.  

Dr. Zuben Kikon, Deputy CMO also called upon the Medical Officers, pharmacists, nurses for active participation in promoting quality health services to the needy. He also encouraged them to develop proper planning of activities in the health units and stressed on the utilization of the Untied Fund judiciously and make priority list of items/medicines to be purchased for the health facility.  

DPM (NHM) Matsung highlighted on NITI Aayog in the health facility, which focuses on proper report, record maintenance reflecting the overall performance of the health unit, the release said. He also urged the participants to assist in submitting the PM-RSSM (Medical Health Insurance Policy) beneficiary list as it has to be submitted for entry in the portal for obtaining the health insurance benefit by the people.  

Dr. Thungchanbeni, DPM (Quality Assurance) spoke on the assessment of KAYAKALP, which will be taken up shortly in the district.
