DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has declared a one hour chain of prayer from 11:00am to 12 noon every day.
A press note from the CNC informed that the prayer chain will begin from August 18 at CHQ Church, “where, every national worker living in and around Dimapur and Peren Districts are required to attend.”
The CNC said that this prayer program is mainly for the long-awaited Political Solution. “It is time to thank God for His faithfulness in leading and sustaining us till today. It is time now to humble ourselves before Him and pray more earnestly than ever before. Even if others have lost hope and given up prayer, it should not be so with you and me.
We must remain faithful to Him, fixing our eyes only on Him. It is time to renounce sin and pursue righteousness. It is time to seek God’s favor than to seek earthly gain,” it affirmed.
The main prayer points, according to the CNC, are: confession of our personal sins and National/People’s sins; seeking God’s intervention in the Indo-NSCN dialogue for early solution; prayer for God’s blessing for the Naga Chief Negotiator Th. Muivah and the Indian Interlocutor, RN Ravi; prayer for God’s blessing for the Indian Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers; pray for God’s blessing for the Collective Leadership and Home Authorities of NSCN; and prayer for the Government of India and the People’s Republic of Nagalim.
The theme of the program is ‘‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty” Zechariah 4:6. It further informed that the “Army shall begin from GHQ unit on the same date and time,” with the Head Chaplain assigning the schedule for all the Army Units.
For the civil set-up (Ministry and Department), the prayer chain is scheduled date wise as follows: August 18 (all national workers living in and around Dimapur and Peren Districts are required to attend the opening prayer program at CHQ Church, Hebron); August 19 (all the Central Secretariats staff (OA-III to full Secretary); August 20 (all the CNC Staff and Sunday school Teacher); August 21 (all the Steering Member and Steering Secretariat); August 22 (all the Tatars and Tatar Hoho Secretariat); August 23 (all the Kilonsers and Deputy Kilonsers without Portfolios); August 24 (Kilo Ministry including its Secretariat staff); August 25 (Chaplee Ministry including its Secretariat staff); August 26 (Mines and Mineral Ministry including its Secretariat staff); and August 27 (Medical and Health Ministry including its Secretariat staff.) Schedules for the remaining Ministries, Departments and Regions, announcement shall be made in a few days, the CNC informed.
