Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has informed all NSCN members in both civil and army set-ups that a two day National Fasting and Prayer program will be held on September 7 and 8 under the theme of ‘Repentance for Healing’ (2 Chronicle7:14).
A press release from Reverend Seksim Kasar, General Secretary, CNC said that all the regions and army brigades, battalions and units are obligated “to set aside their works and hold fasting and prayer on these two days. No member should fail to attend and appear before the Lord. Pastors, Chaplains, Commanders, CAOs/Caretakers and Political Organizers are to take the responsibility to implement this program,” it informed.
The CNC further stated that “before the Lord and in the eyes of the world, the NSCN would naturally be the reason for the Nagas, either to be destroyed or established their nationhood.” It therefore called for all members to pray, especially considering that the Indo-Naga peace talks are at a crucial juncture.
The CNC meanwhile cautioned that certain organisations and individuals “have been scheming evil projects for the worse against the NSCN.” It however lamented that “many NSCN members are not aware of it. They are yet to be awaken from their slumber.”
“It is time for us to rise up and return to the Lord for our salvation,” the CNC said.
“He will forgive us and save us. He will fight for us and restore to us everything that is ours. He will revive and sustain us again for we are the apple of His eye. He will not turn us down,” it added.
