Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): Raising concerns over the condemnations issued by various group and organisations related to the statement of Minister Imna Along in the recent concluded Assembly session, the Central Nagaland Students' Association (CNSA) on Sunday stated that the Minister had “quoted the statement of the Union Home Minster of the Government of India,” and not his personal sentiment.
“As an informed organisation, Naga people expect each and every organisation to be more responsible and not misguide or misinterpret the content of the statement as his entire statement is available in the media. The Naga people should question and raise the issue with the person who spoke and not target the person who informed the people,” a press release from the CNSA stated.
The release went on to state that the CNSA would “extend our fullest support if the matter is raised against the person who told the Minister but targeting the second person who conveyed the message to the Naga people to let them know and create awareness amongst the common people about the pulse and the mindset of the Government of India is highly objectionable.”
Naga society cannot progress if the leaders of various groups and organisations continue to be selective and hide the truth from Naga People for whom they profess to represent, it added.
