Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): Coco area comprising six polling stations, under the initiative of former minister, Doshehe Y. Sema, has declared “all out” support to DAN consensus candidate Neiphiu Rio in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. A press release from chairman, Coco Area Joint Council (CAJC), M Hokiye Assumi informed that this was decided on March 25 during a meeting at Akuhaito organised by the CAJC under which five villages fall.
The Coco area also expressed happiness at the developmental activities that took place in Atoizu area during the time of Doshehe as minister. Some notable developments included inauguration of RD Block Akuhaito, EAC Akuhaito, ADC Atoizu, EAC Saptiqa, PHC Akuhaito, construction of Coco Doyang road first phase etc, the note added.
Meanwhile, the Coco area has earnestly requested the DAN government to post EAC, BDO and doctor at Akuhaito “which is in dire need of the officers for fruitful functioning of the various government departments.”
The note further recalled that the state cabinet had taken decision in December 2007 to introduce degree course in Civil Engineering at Atoizu Polytechnic, but till today, the Course is yet to start. Towards this, the Coco area has appealed to the government to start the classes at the earliest in the interest of the students and public.
The Coco area also lauded Independent MLA, Er. Picto Shohe who along with his supporters have declared to support the NPF candidate.
