Committee constituted to examine creation of new districts, administrative HQs 

Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has formed a 5-member committee to look into proposals related to creation or upgrading of new administrative headquarters, as well as creation of new districts.

According to a report from the state DIPR on Saturday, the committee was constituted “to conduct field visits to the districts or sub-divisions concerned to hold discussions with the various stakeholders.”

The Committee will be headed by Nagaland Commissioner Rovilatuo Mor as Chairperson and includes Commissioner & Secretary for Higher and Technical Education W Honje Konyak, Secretary for Works & Housing Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Additional Secretary for Border Affairs L Jamithung Lotha, and Joint Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports Hito Sema, as members.

“The Committee will submit its report and recommendation within one and half month to the Home Department for consideration, from the date of issue of the notification,” the DIPR stated.
