Community awareness prog held in Athibung

Peren, November 28 (MExN): Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) Peren, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) and Mahila shakti organized community awareness programme in collaboration with Social Welfare department and Child Helpline 1098 at New Chalkot, Peren District on November 28.

Kesiaga Kamlak, Supervisor, ICDS Athibung gave a brief highlight about Poshan Abhiyan. Keyizieteing Ndang, District Coordinator, PMMVY gave a brief highlight about the scheme and spoke about the importance of seeking good health behavior and the benefits of vaccination, a press release from District Coordinator, PMMVY District Cell stated. Peheilusile Haisobe, Caseworker OSC Peren highlighted about the centre while Lungngaulie, district coordinator MSK gave a brief highlight of various schemes. Ganchuimei, Counselor of Child Helpline spoke about Child Helpline. The programme was attended by womenfolk, Anganwadi workers, village councils, community members from New Chalkot and neighboring villages of Phaijol, Vongkithem which is under Ahthibung block. Around 137 participants attended the programme.
