Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): More organizations have condemned the attempt on the life of L Doulo, proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage allegedly by NSCN (K) cadres on September 18.
CPO: The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) in a statement stated that at this juncture when the entire Naga society is yearning for peace in the land, “such uncivilized crime by the national workers shattered the fabrics of oneness.”
It questioned why NSCN (K) remained silent when the identities of those involved in the crime are “crystal clear”. Meanwhile, the organisation urged the administration and authority concerned to arrest the accused without any further delay and deliver befitting penalty.
Also, reminding of the recent killing of a taxi driver, Swudeuve Nakro, it stated, “We find it difficult to understand as to why our community is being targeted at this juncture specially against those who are in business and entrepreneurs.”
CPO also acknowledged the strong support and solidarity from the civil societies and business community.
CSUD: The Chakhesang Students' Union Dimapur (CSUD) also condemned the incident and demanded that the persons involved should not go unpunished. In a statement, it further urged the NSCN (K) to preserve and maintain its principles as Naga national workers in letter and spirit and “take deserving actions against those liable persons without which we will consider your party workers as the enemy of the peace loving society.”
WCMA: The Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (WCMA) in a separate statement stated it was appalled and anguished at the demand for money and life attempt on a person who is law abiding and respectable. It urged the law enforcing agency to investigate the case expeditiously and book the perpetrators at the earliest.
