
Kohima, August 25 (MExN): Several condolences have poured in after the passing of Ketusieü (Atso) Kathipri, mother of Kaisa Rio, wife of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, on August 24 at Kohima.
The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) said that Ketusieü, a nurse by profession was known for her love, dedication and sincerity towards tending to her patients which she maintained throughout her years of service. “To lose a mother who has been the fabric that has nurtured and cared for the family over all these years is one of the most difficult moments for the children and the family,” it stated in a condolence message.
The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Youth Organisation said that Ketusieü (Atso) Kathipri was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many being a loving mother and a nurse by profession. She was blessed with wisdom, experience and leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us. “Her enduring power of love and care will be forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her,” it stated.
The Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton in his condolence note said that Kathipri served the people as a nurse serving selflessly in different areas of Nagaland till her retirement. Patton also said that God granted her a long life so that she could be be a blessing and inspiration to so many people. The Dy CM on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed deepest condolences to the family in mourning and prayed for the departed soul to find rest in peace eternally.
The Minister of Power, Parliamentary Affairs KG Kenye stated that Ketusieu (Atso) lived an exemplary life having dedicated better part of her life in Nursing Profession. Her immense contribution towards the health sector in our State and towards our Society shall be cherished. “My family joins me in extending our sincerest condolences to the bereaved family at this difficult time of sorrow. May the Almighty God grant peace, comfort and courage to all her dear and loved ones. May the departed soul Rest in Peace,” Kenye added.
