The local Papers quite often carry writings of a political Group of Nagaland tediously denouncing another of very similar name. So much so that the Public do not understand who & who is talking about which & of whom. It is obvious the Group writing the story wants the general Naga public to accept its writing of what it is condemning in the other: The trouble is that the public does know which & which is writing about who & whom because the name of the Writer and the name of the condemned are so confusingly similar.
Such a confusing situation is not good for Politics in Nagaland or for the political understanding in the State. The Election Commission of a Nation does not recognize a splinter Party to take the Name of its Parent Body or the Symbol of its Parent Organization.
Mrs. Indira Gandhi separated her group from its Parent Indian National Congress headed by Mr Kamaraj and formed Indira Congress with the PALM as its symbol and not the SPINNING WHEEL of Mahatma Gandhi, the Parent Body. Mr. P. Sangma and Sharad Pawar splintered from Indira Congress and took a different symbol, Mamata Congress has a different symbol than Indira Congress from which it came out.
Nagas are a politically very interested and interesting people; perhaps the other North East States got their Statehood from a Domino Effect out of Naga plethora for Politics. But today the Naga political Torchlight of the Groups seems to have lost its capacity to focus, its political lights good only at finding fault with others, particularly with its Parent Body than in finding new visions.
It is very necessary for the general Naga Public to know who & who is the Political Head of the Group to distinguish it from the others whether in the NNC or in the NSCN, and for the Groups to write the name of the Head of the Organization like say; NNC-Adino, NNC-Yaden, NNC-Shingya or NSCN-IM, or NSCN-Khaplang, or NSCN-Kholei-Kitovi.
