Cong pose questions to Lotha Hoho Prez

Dimapur, Nov 13 (MExN): In a follow-up to the ‘politicization’ of the Tokhu Emong celebrations at Wokha where the Wokha Congress took strong exception to the Lotha Hoho President’s “partisan” speech, MLA ET Ezung and DCC Wokha president KR Murry has posed certain queries in reaction to the statement of the Hoho President made in a local daily.

Quoting the statement of Lotha Hoho President Nyanbemo Ngullie’s rejoinder in a local daily that he attacked the previous government (Congress) vis-a-vis development, a rejoinder from the two Congress leaders said “we did not say anything on his adoration and eulogy of the chief guest for pumping crores and crores of rupees to Wokha district, but question him of his partisan speech on an important festival like Tokhu Emong”.

The two leaders pointed out that “he mentioned previous governments right from 1964 to 2003 and further challenged us to compare the development activities before 2003 and after 2003.”

These questions were posed to the Lotha Hoho President (given verbatim): where were the crores and crores of money for development of Wokha district pumped into Wokha district had gone? Who had created Wokha district and brought so many government departments? Was Shri. Neiphiu Rio, the present Chief Minister not a part of the previous government? Why we have to condemn others while giving appreciation to somebody?
