‘CORONA KANACH’ Antibody Test Kits launched in Mon

Mon, August 6 (MExN): The Antibody Test Kits named ‘CORONA KANACH’ manufactured by Zydus Cadila and approved by ICMR was launched by Minister P Paiwang Konyak at Walo Guest House, Mon on August 5. 

Minister Paiwang also donated Rs 2.8 lakh for the purchase of the Antibody Tests (10 kits and 96 tests per kit). An antibody test is utilized to determine if somebody was previously infected or indicative of adaptive immunity. 

On the same day a meeting was also held to deliberate on various protocols for testing and discharge. The house discussed the opening of COVID Care Centre in all subdivisions in addition to home isolation SOP. 

CM donates towards CARE
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio donated a sum of Rs 5 lakh to the Konyak Union for implementation of the COVID-19 Adaptive Response Model (CARE) model adopted by the District Task Force & Empowered Committee. The cash was handed over to Konyak Union through the Minister.

HANS Foundation adopts Tizit CHC 
Paiwang also announced the adoption of Tizit CHC by HANS Foundation. HANS Foundation is also donating a state-of-art Advanced Life Support Ambulance to the District Hospital, Mon worth 33 lakh (approximately) and 11 lakhs worth of equipment. The meeting discussed adding more doctors and Lab Technicians and Vehicles to be sent to Tizit in the next few days to help with the increased workload.
