Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): A free cancer screening cum multispeciality health camp was conducted at Mima village Government Middle School on July 12. The camp was organised by Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation a registered public charitable trust, in collaboration with National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, with support from the Biocon Foundation, Bengaluru and Putuonuo Hospital, Kohima.
With 258 registrations, a total of 296 free consultations across various specialities (obstetrics & gynaecology, medicine, surgery and dental), 194 free cancer screening (Oral cancer and Cervical cancer), 76 ultrasound scans, 20 minor procedures (general and dental), 28 blood tests were done, along with distribution of free medicines.

The programme started with a welcome address by project coordinator Kelekhono Chase MSW, camp brief by Dr Kezevituo Keditsu, Founding Trustee Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation, Oral Health & Cancer Awareness session by Dr Keduovinuo Keditsu Chielie, MCh Cancer Surgeon, vote of thanks by VHC Mima Senyü Rhutsu, and prayer by Pastor CRC Mima Village. A total of 42 medical personnel - 10 doctors, 26 paramedics (Putuonuo Hospital and Private hospitals/clinics) and 6 project staff (Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation) participated, stated a press release received here.
