Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): Reacting to the news item ‘FGN Pochury Midan Piyu discharged’ that appeared in local dailies on August 29, 2007, Victor M Fithu, Pochury Midan Peyu today clarified on any ‘confusion’ that may have arisen.
A release stated that the Pochury Region FGN Midan Piyu was appointed by Kedahge, FGN, Brig. (Retd) S. Singna. The Pochury Region had declared on October 13, 2006 to work under the leadership of Addino Phizo, President of the NNC and Kedahge, Brig. (Retd) S. Singna of the FGN and disassociate itself from the Transit Peace Campers, it said. “We do not recognize the authority of the Transit Peace Campers who had accepted the Indian Constitution under the Shillong Accord on November 11, 1975” stated the press note. “Instead of accusing me of being anti- national, the Transit Peace Campers must first understand that they are anti- national and have no authority over the Pochury region FGN” it added.
Fithu asked the general public not to be misled by the propagation of the ‘self styled’ Azha (order) published by Transit Peace Campers or any such propaganda by them in future. It is for the people to decide whether to be sovereign or live under the subjugation of the India Union like the Transit Campers, he said.
However, a separate release issued by FGN ‘Kilo Kilonser’ Shevohu Keyho stated that in view of the termination of Eno Victor M Fithu from the post of Midan Peyu, Eno Khrochu Fithu is to take charge. A press note stated that Eno Khrochu Fithu, son of Sheshe of Reguri village the present incumbent of Razou Peyu, Pochury Region is to look after the affairs of the Pochury Regional FGN till further proper arrangement is made.
