COVID-19: 20 new cases reported, State tally at 3031

20 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Nagaland on August 11, taking the state’s tally to 3031.

According to an update from the State Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom, 10 cases were reported from Kohima, 9 in Dimapur and 1 in Kohima.

The breakup of cases as per the COVID-19 daily status update from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare mentioned that out of the 20 cases, 13 were Armed Forces, 2 returnees, 3 Traced Contacts and 2 frontline workers.

Out of the 3,031 positive cases, the total active cases are 2,032 and there are 7 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 2,029 active cases are asymptomatic 1 active case is mild and 2 active cases are moderate.

Further, out of the total cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 1,385 cases of Armed Forces, 1,096 cases of Returnees, 200 cases of Frontline Workers, 296 cases of Traced Contacts and 54 cases of ‘Others’, according to the briefing on COVID-19 on Tuesday by State Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha.
