COVID-19: Manipur’s tally increases to 1,279

 Of the 1,424 samples tested for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in Manipur, 19 were found confirmed for the virus.
With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 infected persons in the State has increased to 1,279. There are 663 active cases and 616 recovered cases in the State as of now. The recovery rate is 48.16%.

 

Fourteen of the 19 fresh cases are males, a statement of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said.

 

Among the fresh cases of the disease, 10 are from Churachandpur district, two each from Kakching, Kamjong and Ukhrul and one each from Imphal West, Kangpokpi and Thoubal districts.

 

Meanwhile, a total of 37 recovered patients were discharged during the last 24 hours after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test, the press release informed.

 

It can be noted here that, with the 1,424 samples tested in the last 24 hours, a total of 53,030 samples have been tested so far in the State.
