COVID-19: Nagaland records 111 new cases, 1 death 

Kohima, January 27 (MExN): New COVID-19 cases hovered above 100 for third consecutive day in Nagaland with the detection of 111 infections from the virus on January 27.

As per an update from the State health department, out of 111 new cases, 61 were reported from Dimapur while there were 27 in Tuensang, 11 in Kohima, 7 in Mokokchung, 4 in Peren and 1 in Zunheboto.  With this, Nagaland’s tally of COVID-19 increased to 34059, with 850 active cases.  

Meanwhile, the State also registered one more COVID-19 related fatality on Thursday taking the total toll to 692.  As of 5PM on January 27, there were 17 deaths designated as “non Covid Deaths,” though they were COVID-19 positive.  A total of 88 recoveries were also reported on Thursday taking number of recovered patients to 31130.
