COVID vax for 15-18 age group in Wokha

Wokha, January 11 (MExN): Wokha District Task Force (DTF) for COVID-19 launched the COVID-19 vaccination for 15-18 years on January 11.

According to a DIPR report, DC & Chairman WDTF for COVID-19, Orenthung Lotha, while launching the vaccination, said it was a historic day for the district with the launching of the vaccine for 15-18 years of age. He thanked the Government of India for providing the vaccine promptly for the wellbeing of citizens. 

He urged all the stakeholders of the district to give their best efforts and mentioned that we are entering into the third year of the pandemic and expressed his concerns that so many students have been affected. It is our responsibility to end this pandemic by adhering to COVID appropriate behavior, he asserted. 

The DC also appealed to all the parents, headmasters and principals of schools and colleges to inform all the eligible beneficiaries to take the vaccine at the earliest, vaccination will be available on Monday and Tuesday.

Evoking Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTC) Pastor Rev Abemo Jungio said a pray while Dy CMO/DPO/VIP/RCH proposed the vote of thanks.
