Kohima, August 14 (MExN): Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) commemorated Naga Independence Day here at CBCK, Cezo Mepu on August 14.
Yesonu Veyie and Advocate Timikha Koza, both former CPO presidents, shared the “historic testimonies” of the Naga freedom struggle, informed a press release from Mutsivoyi Kotso, CPO general secretary.
The observation was attended by nation lovers from across the Chakhesang community, it added.
Earlier, Rev. Khrotso Mero, Senior Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou (CBCK) invoke God’s blessings for the smooth proceedings of the programme. CPO president Kekhwengulo Lea delivered a welcome note, Shetsuyi Ruho & friends enthralled the gathering with indigenous song, while Rev. Vevozo Khamo, Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches Council (CCRCC) pronounced the closing prayer.
