In commemoration of the 25th glorious years of its existence, the Cultural Promotion Society Kohima today celebrated Sekrenyi-cum- silver jubilee at D. Khel Ground, Kohima village.
A souvenir of the Society was released by D. Khel Council chairman Kelhouphilie Kire.
Various dignitaries including minister for PWD (Roads & Bridges) and parliamentary affairs Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, minister for youth resources & sports Merentoshi R. Jamir, parliamentary secretary for power Kipili Sangtam, parliamentary secretary for law & justice, land revenue and labour and employment Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Music Task Force and New & Renewable Energy advisor Khriehu Liezietsu, chief secretary Banuo Z. Jamir graced the occasion.
Several organizations also attended the programme which included Angami Public Organization (APO) president K. Neingunyu Sekhose, Kohima Village Council, Kewhimiapfu Mechu Krotho, Kohima Village Youth Organization, Kohima District DB Association, Kohima Village GB Association etc. Cultural dances and songs marked the occasion. The grand celebration concluded with Sekrenyi feast.
