DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): The 1st Creative Arts Fest 2024 at Patkai Christian College (PCC) concluded on Saturday at Bundrock Auditorium, marking the end of a festival celebrating artistic expression and innovation. The event was organized in collaboration with the Task Force for Music and Arts (TAFMA).

Speaking at the closing ceremony as the guest of honor, Theja Meru, Chairman of TAFMA, encouraged students to aspire for greatness and work diligently toward their goals. Quoting former Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he stated, “To dream small is a crime. In all the given time that you have, always dream big.”

Meru also reflected on the struggles of author J.K. Rowling, reminding students that perseverance is key to success. “Sometimes we give up too early in life,” he said. Sharing a personal philosophy, he added, “‘Pay now and play later, or play now and pay later,’ meaning that time well spent today shapes a better future.”

He urged students to believe in their potential, declaring, “Patkai has 1,300 dreams, 1,300 potentials. Nagaland will change once these numbers work to the fullest.”

The event was also attended by Tuisem A. Shishak, Founder and Principal Emeritus of PCC. The closing ceremony featured a group song performance by students representing houses Slytherin, Gryffindor, and Targaryen, followed by a fashion showcase displaying student creativity. The evening ended with a one-act play, The One Who Was Dead.

Meanwhile, the 49th edition of the PCC Sports Week is set to commence on February 17.
