CRPF civic action programme concludes
Students after the pre-training programme which concluded at 173 Battalion Headquarter.
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The pre-training programme concluded at 173 Battalion Headquarter by Vishnu Guatam, Commandant in the presence of Unit Officers on August 17. In his brief speech, the Commandant highlighted the benefits of uniform service and encouraged the youth to broaden their ooutlook and strive for excellence and grasp every opportunity.
173 Battalion, CRPF, Airfield Dimapur conducted Civic Action Programme during 2018 where-in competitive examination books were distributed and coaching classes/physical training were given to needy youth at 173 Battalion Headquater, Dimapur.
A press release stated the Battalion also mobilized the youth for enrollment through print and electronic media by assisting them through on-line registration of forms.
598 youth (male-496 and female-102) were successfully registered by this unit, it added.
The registered candidates were given free Staff Selection Commission Recruitment (SSC) coaching classes and Physical Endurance Test (PET) on a daily basis since September 3 by trained staffs of the unit with a view to make them aware and adapt to the examinations/test that they will undergo.
Accordingly 160 candidate, 118 males and 42 females passed their written examinations which was held on the month of February and March 2019.
The passed candidates were further given physical training in the morning for their PST/PET test which was held from August 16.
The students expressed their gratitude for providing the study materials/study aids and guidance to the unit for the endearing effort in preparing them for the said examinations.
