TUENSANG, May 2 (MExN): The Chang Sports Association (CSA) on Thursday honoured four individuals for their outstanding performances in the inaugural Nagaland Super League (NSL) during a program held at the office of the Chang Wedoshi Setshang in Tuensang town.
The honorees included NamangYimjong Chang of Longterok FC, who was awarded the NSL Golden Star, and S. Ayenmongba Chang of Frontier Warriors FC, who was nominated for the same honor. I. Imlikumzuk of Longterok FC was recognized for his nomination in the Golden Glove category, and Changsang Ongbou Chang, head coach of Longterok FC, was honored for leading the team to the grand final of the league.
The program was chaired by Mercy, with the invocation prayer led by L. Ongmang, Pastor of Yüngkük Baptist Lashong. Takam Chang, President of the Chang Sports Association, delivered the welcome address.
Short speeches were delivered by leaders from various Chang community organizations, including the Presidents of the Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), Chang Students’ Conference (CTS), Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS), and Chang GazettedOfficers’ Association (CGOA). Changsang Ongbou and Er. Chingmak, Advisor to the CSA, also addressed the gathering.
The event featured a special song by Menti and Friends. Rev. Achu Chang, Executive Secretary of Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen, offered a thanksgiving prayer. The program concluded with a mass prayer led by the congregation.
