CSU 70th general conference at Kütsapo

Kohima, January 4 (MExN): The 70th general conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) under the theme “Re-orienting issues” will take from January 16 to 18 at Kiitsapo in coinciding with golden jubilee celebration of Kiitsapo Students’ Union (KSU).  

The speakers of the three day-long conference will include: K.G. Kenye, Rajya Sabha MP, Krodi Rhetso, commandant 5th NAP Phek, Vevo Sapuh, Retd director Art & Culture Nagaland, Dr. Veniisa Tinyi, Professor University of Hyderabad and ex-minister and former CSU president N. Theyo.  

Greetings will be shared by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kesosul Christopher Ltu.  

Solidarity message will be shared by Er. Joyson Fithu, president Pochury Students’ Union and Atokiho Sumi, president SKK.  

Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Kekhwengulo Lea and Zaposhelii Venuh, president Chakhesang Mothers’ Association will also exhort the gathering.  

CSU president Dode Nakro informed that it is mandatory for all the affiliated units and subordinate bodies to attend the conference with a minimum of 20 delegates.  

There will be an award for best discipline unit.  

Late Niesatsu Khamo & Late Zekope Krome Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winners of cultural competition.  

The CSU extended invitation to all the frontal organizations, senior leaders, and well wishers to the conference.

Meanwhile, there will be an official meeting of the Chakhesang Students' Union on January 5 at 12:00 noon at its president's residence. All the executive members, assembly organs and tribunals have been requested to attend the same without fail.
