The 70th general conference of Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) coinciding with golden jubilee celebration of Kütsapo Students’ Union (KSU) got underway in Kütsapo village, located 10 km away from Phek district HQ, on January 16.
Krodi Rhetso, commandant, 5th NAP Phek acted as the speaker at the introductory session this evening.
He said that team work is the need of the hour to bring about positive change in the society. Stating that student’s priority is to study, he challenged the students to adopt work culture. He also told the students to use technology and not let technology use them.
Er. Joyson Fithu, president, Pochury Students’ Union shared greetings while Zaposhelü Venuh, president, Chakhesang Mothers’ Association exhorted the gathering.
The function was chaired by Seve R. Vadeo, tribunal member, CSU and welcome address was delivered by Vechikhoyi Lohe, convenor LOC. CSU general secretary Nuvokho Rhakho read out the CSU report.
The inaugural function on January 17 will start at 9:30 am. Rajya Sabha MP, KG Kenye will be the speaker while Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Kekhwengulo Lea will exhort the gathering.
Greetings will be shared by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kesosul Christopher Ltu.
CSU president Dode Nakro will deliver presidential address. COC co-convenor Vevoyi D. Vadeo will chair the function while welcome address will be delivered by COC convenor Mutsikhoyo Yhobu.
