CTC inaugurates first main entrance gate in 45 years

Mokokchung, August 13 (MExN): The main entrance gate of Clark Theological College (CTC) was inaugurated on the occasion of the college’s 45th Foundation Day on August 10.  

The Development Commissioner, Planning & Coordination Department, Government of Nagaland, Aolemla Jamir officially inaugurated the gate and Rev. I Meren Pongen, Secretary, Finance and Property, Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang, Impur offered the dedicatory prayer.  

In his address, CTC Principal, Rev. Dr. Marnungsang expressed appreciation and sincere indebtedness to the children of late Akangkokba Imsong and Noksentola Longkumtsur of Ungma village for their generosity and thoughtfulness in constructing such a magnificent gate and donating whole heartedly to the college. The principal also remarked that the present main entrance gate is the first gate erected in the 45 years history of CTC.  

Imosong Imsong, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Taxes, Dimapur, the eldest son of late Akangkokba Imsong and Noksentola Longkumtsur while delivering a short speech said that the gate was a humble yet fitting gift to the college in memory of their parents.  

In his concluding remark, Dr. L. Imsutoshi Jamir mentioned that the main entrance gate of the college was built and donated by the children of late Akangkokba Imsong, who also happened to be one of those who cut out the same road some 43 years ago. The gate was built by his children in his name.  

Other members who spoke were Alemtoshi Imsong, Council Chairmen, Ungma and I. Meyionen Jamir, Chairperson, CTC Board of Governors.
